Two fires are currently raging in the province of Famagusta.
The first fire broke out in the area of Fanos near the chapel of Agios Panteleimon and very close to a residential area.
According to the spokesperson of the Fire Service Andreas Ketti, three Firefighting Vehicles have been mobilized from the Famagusta Fire Station in Deryneia as well as a helicopter of the Air Operations Unit of the Police located in the area for training. The fire broke out at 10:47 and is still raging.
At the same time, a fire broke out in Liopetri in a rural area. A fire truck from the Xylofagos Fire Station and one from the Deryneia Fire Station have responded.
