Three people, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old, were arrested by the Police, in order to facilitate the investigations into investigated cases of shoplifting and theft, theft from a locked box, causing malicious damage and illegal possession of burglary tools.

Specifically, last Tuesday, May 7, it was reported to the Police, by a brewery owner, in the province of Famagusta, that between the hours of 12.30 p.m. and 6 a.m., the same day, strangers broke into his store and stole money, two loudspeakers and a cash register.

Members of the Police visited the scene, who carried out examinations and collected evidence, while they located the cash register in an adjacent field.

The investigation of the case resulted in a testimony against a 16-year-old resident of the Famagusta province, in whose residence, members of the Police, last night, conducted an investigation and received various items. The 16-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime by the members of the Police, after during the investigation he was found in possession of half a gram of cannabis.

From further investigations, evidence was obtained, according to which the 16-year-old is allegedly involved in four other cases of theft of money from gaming machines, which were also committed in the province of Famagusta.

Testimony was also obtained against two other persons, aged 16 and 17, in connection with the cases under investigation. Police officers conducted a search of their homes in the early hours of today, where they located two loudspeakers, one in each house, for the possession of which the two young men did not give satisfactory explanations, resulting in their arrest for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of property.

The two 16-year-olds and the 17-year-old were detained for the purpose of investigating the cases, while the TAE Famagusta continues the examinations.
