A three-hour general strike following a call by trade unions, with the main demand being the full implementation and protection of Automatic Indexation (ATA) as well as the extension of its coverage to all employees, took place in all cities in Cyprus.
In the Famagusta district, the strike took place outside the provincial offices of the Ministry of Labor in Paralimni. The workers chanted slogans and held banners with demands related to the ATA such as “Hands down from the ATA”, “Respect for what was agreed”. “ATA for everyone”.
The Police were also present at the scene to resolve the traffic jam.
