The Medical and Public Health Services (MPHS) of the Ministry of Health, within the framework of the National Action Plan for Safety in the Aquatic Environment, the Prevention of Drowning and Marine Accidents and in collaboration with the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus, are organizing an event at Vrysi beach in Protaras with a central message:
"I Swim Safely in the Aquatic Environment."
The event will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, 10:00-13:00 at Vrysi Beach, Protaras.
The program will include rescue demonstrations in drowning incidents by lifeguards, as well as demonstrations of practical Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills by officers of the Resuscitation Services of the Ministry of Health. During the event, free informational material on the prevention of drowning and marine accidents, an educational activity book for children and promotional gifts will be distributed, while a live radio broadcast will also be held.
