The Swim Run is coming to Protaras again this year

On October 10, 2021 will be held in the area of ​​Protaras, the second official SwimRun race in Cyprus, called Protaras SwimRun Cyprus 2021.

The race is organized by the GSS. "O Keravnos" in collaboration with the Municipality of Paralimni.

It is a race that combines swimming and running in one of the two available distances of 13 or 25 kilometers and the athletes participate in pairs. Specifically, the race includes off-road routes of a total distance of 10 or 21 km and offshore swimming routes of a total distance of 3 or 4 km respectively.

The athletes will start their great effort in front of the luxury hotel Capo ∙ Bay, turn left and then make a turn and make their way to the forest park of Cape Greco.

The groups will swim among the famous beaches, Fig Tree, Green Bay, Konnos, Blue Lagoon, will run along the coastline and around the hill of Cape Greco. They will then pass the Cape Greco Environmental Information and Education Center and finish in front of the five-star Capo ∙ Bay Hotel.

After the completion of the race, the awards will be made for the first three places in the categories of Men, Women, mixed pairs (men-women) as well as the first three teams in the total.

It is worth noting that Protaras SwimRun Cyprus was the first SwimRun race in the eastern Mediterranean and is still the only one in the wider region.
