On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 5, 2025, we had a beautiful visit from First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides and a symbolic action in the kitchen of KEPA (Center for Offering and Love) Agios Christopheros.
This year's production of oranges from the Presidential orchard was offered to KEPA Agios Christopheros to make various creations. The first lady, together with volunteers, made various orange-based dishes. They also squeezed fresh juice. Everything will be offered for social purposes to our fellow human beings in the Famagusta district.
Specifically, they will be offered to needy families in the home hot meal distribution program that KEPA Agios Christoforos has been offering voluntarily since 1998. At the same time, the orange pies and muffins will be the afternoon treat for the elderly living in the KEPA Nursing Home. The orange marmalades will be offered to the families that KEPA supports year-round through the "Basket of Love" Social Grocery Store.
