The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, held a meeting with Ms. Niki Papadopoulou, daughter of Yiagos and Ermioni Papadopoulou, and her son, Mr. George Papadopoulos, in his office.
During the meeting, the issue of organizing the 50th Memorial of the late George Papadopoulos and his parents, benefactors and donors of Paralimni, the late Yiagos and Ermioni Papadopoulos, which will be organized on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Metropolitan Church of Saint George of Paralimni, was discussed, while refreshments and coffee will follow at the Paralimni - Deryneia Town Hall.
Mr. Nikolettos thanked Ms. Niki and Mr. Giorkis Papadopoulos for the large contribution and donation made to the Municipality by the family in memory of the late Giorkis Papadopoulos.
It is noted that the family of Yiagos and Ermioni Papadopoulou are great benefactors and donors of Paralimni, as thanks to their great charitable contribution to the Municipality, they proceeded, among other things, with the construction in 1980 of the Giorki Public and Community Kindergarten in memory of their son Giorkis, who died unexpectedly in 1975 at the age of 24, as well as the chapel of Agia Triada on the homonymous beach of the Municipality.
