The traditional concert with Eleni Mavroudi was held with great success on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Agios Georgios Square in Paralimni, as part of the Easter events of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia and the 2nd Festival of Traditional Culture "Voices and Memories".
The concert featured the music and dance groups of the "Antama" Dance School and the "Erofili" Dance School of Rethymno, Crete, while the musicians Eleni Mavroudi on vocals, Konstantinos Zervos on lyra and vocals, Giorgos Chliaoutakis on lute and vocals, Irinaios Dimitriou on violin and vocals, Kyriakos Kaniklidis on lute, Dimitris Panayi on guitar and vocals and Andreas Skettos on accordion and vocals.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, stated that this festival gives voice to the cultural continuity of our place, highlights the wealth of our tradition in a meaningful, fruitful and creative way, unites generations, brings together people of different ages and reminds us that our culture remains one of the most stable and valuable foundations of our collective identity. He also added that the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia consciously invests in actions that highlight the history, memory and cultural identity of the place, expressing the deep conviction that tradition acquires real meaning when it remains present in the life of society, when it becomes an experience, participation and shared experience.
The event was part of the 2nd Traditional Culture Festival "Voices and Memories", which is organized by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia in collaboration with the "Agios Epiphanios" Cultural Academy from March 28 to April 25, 2026 and is under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
