As part of the two-day work session, the Sports Department of Paralimni High School C1, together with the Assistant Principal Chloe Orthodoxos Giapani and the Head Teacher Mari Constanti, visited the Paralimni Town Hall.
Initially, the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Kleanthis Koutsoftas, welcomed the students and presented the operation of the commissioners in the Municipality with emphasis on the Education and Sports Committee.
The students listened attentively and expressed some suggestions and problems they face, mainly in the sports sector. They then exchanged views with the Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. George Nikoletos, and proposed some ideas. A useful and constructive discussion took place with the promise that this was only the beginning. It was an excellent opportunity for educational contact between students and local government. Such an exchange of views not only helps students understand the role of local government, but also gives the representatives of the Municipality valuable ideas from the perspective of the new generation.
