The cycle of exchange visits and work of the European Erasmus+ Program, which was implemented at the Paralimni High School in the current school year 02 - 2025, was completed on Friday, May 2024, 2025, with substantial and particularly positive results for all participants. In this program, entitled "Helping Each Other", students and teachers of the Paralimni High School, the College Sacré Coeur St Chély d'Apcher in France and the Colegio Salesiano Santo Angel de Aviles in Spain collaborated.
Specifically, at the beginning of the school year, preparatory meetings were held between the teachers of the Paralimni High School and the collaborating schools in France and Spain, in order to determine the objectives of the program and plan the actions to be implemented in each of the three schools.
Then, the student mobilities were prepared and the planned activities were implemented based on the schedule. Subsequently, the exchange visits between the collaborating schools took place. In particular, the Paralimni High School sent a mobility of students and teachers to Spain and specifically to the Colegio Salesiano Santo Angel de Aviles in January 2025 and a mobility of students and teachers to the College Sacré Coeur St Chély d'Apcher in France in February 2025. Then, the Paralimni High School welcomed and hosted the mobility of students and teachers of the Colegio Salesiano Santo Angel de Aviles in Spain in March 2025 and the mobility of students and teachers of the College Sacré Coeur St Chély d'Apcher in France in May 2025.
The students' participation in the Erasmus+ program and their visit to Spain and France contributed substantially to strengthening their linguistic and social skills, promoting intercultural understanding and cultivating their autonomy and self-confidence. Through educational activities and experiential experiences, the students acquired valuable knowledge, developed friendships with peers from other countries and strengthened their sense of European identity.
Ultimately, participation in the program was an unforgettable experience for the students, which substantially enhanced their educational and personal development!
The Paralimni High School proved that when there is vision, cooperation and belief in the true values of education, boundaries are abolished and new paths of development and connection with the European space are created.
Erasmus+ is not just a program; it is a window to the world, a bridge of communication and mutual understanding. Guided by our experience this year, our school continues with renewed enthusiasm its path towards European innovation and intercultural learning, investing in the most precious asset: the future of our students.
