With great success and with the presence of thousands of visitors, the 3rd Pernera Street Music Festival took place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, on Perneras Avenue, in the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia.
Pernera was flooded with music, pulse, vibrancy and people, with locals and foreign visitors enjoying a special evening along the avenue, in an event that has now become an important institution for the region.
This year's festival featured 40 musicians, who presented their program on nine music stages, creating a unique atmosphere and bringing life to the entire Pernera area. Visitors had the opportunity to walk the streets of the area, visit its recreation centers and businesses, and get to know its hospitality, vibrancy, and special characteristics better.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, stated that the Pernera Street Music Festival began with a simple but essential rationale: to give both locals and foreign visitors the opportunity to get to know Pernera better, to discover its vibrancy and to understand the important role it plays in the tourism development of the Municipality.
The Mayor also emphasized that Pernera is not just a tourist area, but a place with its own identity, with people who work every day with passion, with businesses that support the local economy and with hotels, restaurants and recreation centers that contribute substantially to the upgrading of the tourism product.
He made particular reference to the cooperation of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia with the Association of Leisure Center Owners, which he warmly thanked, emphasizing that through joint efforts, all areas of the Municipality can be highlighted and actions can be created with a real impact on society, the economy and tourism.
