A car in the area of Pernera in Paralimni seems to have been targeted by arsonists last night. At first glance, it appears that the perpetrator or perpetrators contained flammable material and then set it on fire.

According to police, the fire started at 20:40 while the car, owned by a 47-year-old woman, was parked outside her home.
The fire, which broke out in the back of the vehicle, was noticed by the owner herself, who managed to put it out before the arrival of the fire brigade.
At first glance, the perpetrator or perpetrators appear to have engulfed the car with flammable material and then set it on fire.
The vehicle suffered extensive damage from the fire.
The scene has been ruled out and investigations are being carried out by the Famagusta TAE.
