With more than three thousand carnival participants and the main streets of Paralimni packed with visitors from every corner of Cyprus, the grand parade for the Famagusta Carnival took place.
The queen of this year's Carnival is choreographer and dance teacher Adamantini Kosma, who impressed with her unique costume, which had the theme of "Grande Carnaval", influenced by the famous Rio Carnival.
The parade was opened by the Cantadoroi, consisting of the Municipal Mandolinata of Paralimni, while before the Queen's chariot, the Municipal Council of Paralimni - Deryneia participated with its own chariot.
Groups of carnival participants, young and old, participated in the parade, featuring themes that featured humor and colors.
It is worth mentioning that the carnival events in the Famagusta district began on Tsiknopempti with the crowning of this year's carnival Queen, while on Saturday evening the great night-time foot parade took place on the streets of Paralimni.
The Famagusta Carnival is organized by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia and was broadcast live on Sigma TV with presenters Koula Kyriakou and Alkis Christou.
