In front of of the Environment Service for the issuance of the relevant permits is a study for the construction and operation of a five-storey seaside hotel unit on Cape Greco Avenue in Protaras.

The project, which is planned to be built on Limnara-Kermia beach, next to an existing hotel, is owned by JCG Group.

The promoted hotel unit will be named "CAPE GRECO HOTEL". The purpose of the project is to meet the increased needs created for housing / hospitality of tourists / visitors in the greater area of ​​Ayia Napa. At the same time, it is expected that the operation of this hotel will contribute to the economic activities of the study area and will strengthen its social and economic character by creating meeting rooms, cafes, restaurants and shops.

The characteristics of the project

The promoted project includes a five-storey hotel unit including a basement. It will have 180 rooms and 40 apartments (condo units). The construction of the hotel unit will be in the shape of an arch and will be divided into 2 buildings, which will be joined on the ground floor. The western part of the building will have a height of 49,20m (net height 26,60m) and the eastern part will have a height of 52,60m (net height 24,60m).

On the ground floor and mezzanine (Level -01 and Level -01 Mezzanine) there will be the following rooms: Meeting rooms, Fitness and spa, Shops, Reception area, 12 rooms, Offices, Restaurant and kitchen, and Parking (73). On the first floor (Level 00) there will be the following spaces: 31 rooms, Bar, Restaurants, 3 Apartments (condo units), and Parking spaces (80). The remaining floors will be covered mainly by the other rooms and apartments.

The project is located within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, with an area of ​​43.136m 2. Specifically, it is located at a distance of about 4,2km west of the residential area of ​​the Municipality of Ayia Napa and 4km south of the tourist area of ​​Protaras. The western part of the plot is bordered by a hotel unit and the eastern part is adjacent to a Special Protection Zone and a Place of Community Importance (SCC) called "Cape Greco CY3000005". It is noted that, to the north border hotels and tourist accommodation. Also within the area there are individual houses and a cafe on the beach of Konnos. The northeastern part of the plot is used for agricultural purposes (dry crops), while in the rest of the plot no activity is carried out.

In the wider study area there are hotel and tourist units, agricultural crops, restaurants, and other public infrastructure (pedestrian street, bike path, etc.). The access to the plot will be from "Kavo Greko" avenue (in the north), as well as from "Hellas" street in the east of the plot.
