Cape Greco: 6-year-old man detained for 50 days for aiding and abetting illegal entry into KD

A 50-year-old man, who was arrested to facilitate the investigation into an investigated case of aiding, abetting and staying in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, was brought before the District Court of Famagusta yesterday morning, which issued a six-day detention order.

The history of the case

As part of the investigation of the above offenses, a 50-year-old man was arrested today at dawn on a court warrant.

The arrest of the 50-year-old was preceded on Wednesday afternoon by the discovery of a wooden boat, east of Cape Greco, in which there were 10 men in total, who were found to be illegal immigrants.

During the boat's stop, it was found that the navigator was 50 years old, against whom a court order was issued and he was arrested to facilitate the investigations.

The boat was taken to a fishing shelter in the area and the ten men were taken to a temporary accommodation center for illegal immigrants.
