The Party for the Animals of Cyprus is asking for answers about the wetlands and specifically whether hunting around the lakes or the use of lead in the shrapnel has been banned, noting that if its questions are not answered, it will send them to the competent EU bodies.

In a statement on the occasion of World Wetlands Day today, he expressed anger "because another world day will simply pass and some will simply be content with persuasions, instructions and wishes". He questioned whether "hunting around the lakes has been banned or not" and whether "the use of lead in shrapnel has been banned", adding that "we say no".

"How long will we talk about the Ramsar agreement, but in Cyprus the blatant illegalities will continue", he wonders and "asks for immediate answers". Otherwise, he concludes, the questions will be sent as they are to the competent bodies of the European Union.
