Drunk driver arrested in Paralimni

Six times the legal amount of alcohol consumed by a drunk driver in Paralimni.

The 39-year-old from Ukraine had caused a traffic collision with material damage in Paralimni at 15:20 on Wednesday 1/11/2017.

After an investigation by the Police, it was found that the 39-year-old was driving under the influence of alcohol.

In a preliminary test, the amount of alcohol on its exhalation was 119mg% instead of 22 which is the permissible limit.

He was taken to the Famagusta Traffic Police, where he underwent a final breathalyzer test with a lower reading of 106mg% instead of 22, resulting in his arrest.

The Famagusta Traffic Police is investigating.
