The Mayor of Paralimni-Dheryne, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, recently met with the President of the Monuments Committee, Mrs. Christina Yiagou, and members of the Committee. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Kleanthis Koutsoftas.
During the meeting, issues related to the creation of new monumental spaces within the framework of the redevelopment of the new square of Paralimni were discussed, as well as broader issues of cooperation between the Municipality and the Monuments Committee.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of highlighting culture and the arts through the creation of new monumental sites, which will enrich the public space and enhance the cultural identity of the Municipality.
During the meeting, the Monuments Committee took a tour of the Protaras coastal area and the reference points recently created by the Municipality.
The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia continues to invest in initiatives that promote culture, honor collective memory and contribute to the creation of spaces with substantial symbolism and aesthetic value for residents and visitors.
