The presentation and public discussion organized by the Environment & Projects Committee of the Paralimni Youth took place. At the event, a constructive dialogue was developed on actions and projects aimed at improving visitor numbers and limiting human impacts on the ecosystem of Lake Paralimni.
The Mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia, George Nikolettos, was also present at the event, and in his speech he underlined his support for the sustainable development of the Lake, harmonizing the concerns of the residents. The ongoing installation of a bird observatory by the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia was mentioned.
Plans for the development of two new bird observatories were presented.
An update was given on the development of the Youth Park that is "growing" in close proximity to Lake Paralimni and the plans were presented.
Members of Paralimni Lake Photography highlighted the beauty of the Lake, through their lens, and BirdLife Cyprus informed and actively participated in the discussion.
