The Municipality of Paralimni provided a number of scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level, complete and some, from private Universities and Colleges of Cyprus.
A written announcement of the Municipality states that "the Municipality accepts applications from graduates of Paralimni for the granting of a number of scholarships for the academic year 2018 2019, provided by private Universities and Colleges of Cyprus. The scholarships will be given to excellent students, to students with specific socio-economic criteria and to athletes ".
The scholarships are managed by the Scholarship Committee of the Municipality which consists of the respective Mayor of Paralimni, the Chairman of the Committee, the Chairmen of the Education Committees of the Municipality and the Municipal Youth Council of the Municipality of Paralimni and the President of the School Ephorate.
According to the announcement, “the Scholarship Committee of the Municipality will examine the completeness of the applications, the data and the information attached to the applications. It is noted that the final decision of the selection of applicants will be made jointly by the Scholarship Committee of the Municipality with the respective University. In addition, there will be flexibility in the final percentage decision that will be awarded for each scholarship according to the decision of the Scholarship Committee of the Municipality ".
It is added that "in case it is judged that the applicant based on his / her score or socio-economic criteria is necessary to provide a percentage other than that corresponding to the criteria of his application. All scholarships will be granted for the first year of studies and their extension for the following years will be reviewed annually based on the academic performance of the scholarship holder of each University ".
Applications will be accepted until August 3, 2018 in a closed envelope in which the NAME OF APPLICANT / THREE and the title "SCHOLARSHIPS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PARALIMNI 2018 - 2019" must be written. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
