The Cultural Group Romiosini organizes a seminar of Oriental Music with the well-known Greek musician, organ player and teacher of night instruments lafta and saz Mr. Periklis Papapetropoulos on "Modern man and traditional music". The seminar will include theory and practice - application in sets. It can be attended by musicians and those interested in Eastern music.

Concert at the City Hall of Paralimni

Perikis Papapetropoulos will present a unique Oriental Music Concert on February 8, 2020 at 8.00 pm. in the Event Hall of the Municipality of Paralimni together with the excellent Cypriot singer Elena Xydas and the young music group Romiosini Ensemble. Admission € 5

Pericles Papapetropoulos

He was born in Athens and grew up in Heraklion, Crete. He started playing music at the age of sixteen, with Ross Daly as his teacher. A year later he started participating in the musical group "Labyrinth", playing saz and tambourine in concerts and recordings.

He has been teaching since 2004 at the Athens Conservatory. Apart from his artistic activity in "Labyrinth", he also participates in the musical group "Passed Isolated", with Harry Lambrakis, Kostas Meretakis, Panos Dimitrakopoulos and Spyridoula Baka, playing political lute and composing.

His artistic activities include a duet of political lutes with Socrates Sinopoulos, participation in the band "Letter from the City" and the band of Stelios Petrakis.

He has also taken part in concerts with distinguished artists of various musical traditions from Greece and abroad.
