The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia completed the installation of eighteen (18) state-of-the-art showers in central locations on the beaches of Protaras, offering bathers a new, modern service that combines aesthetic enhancement with energy and water saving.
Specifically, the new installation points are the following:
– Kapparis (MMAD): 1
– Holy Trinity: 1
– Luma: 2
– Pernera: 2
– River (Marlita): 1
– Faucet: 7
– Fig Tree Bay: 3
– Breasts (Cavo-Maris): 1
The new showers are powered by solar energy, contributing to green development and reducing energy costs, while their modern technology also allows for optimal water management. In this way, phenomena of reckless waste and accumulation of stagnant water that were observed in the past are addressed.
The charge now amounts to €0,50 for half a minute of use.
The installation of the new showers is an investment in both the aesthetics and the sustainable development of the beaches, while the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia will continue to progress on projects that upgrade the visitor experience and at the same time protect the environment.
