With the opening ceremony, which will take place today Friday 4 October 2024 at 17:00 at the "Traditional House" in Paralimni, the curtain opens on the International race "The Grand Prix Compak/Sporting, Paralimni – Cyprus 2024", which will be held on the weekend of October 5 and 6, at the Shooting Range of Paralimni.
The opening ceremony is under the auspices of the honorable Mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nicolettos.
200 male and female shooters from 17 countries will participate in the event, which is being held for the first time at the Paralimni Shooting Range.
Several Cypriots, as well as foreign shooters, who are already in Cyprus, train every day at the facilities of the renewed Paralimni Shooting Range, from eight in the morning until late in the afternoon.
On Friday 4/10, the official trainings will last until three in the afternoon, as the opening ceremony is scheduled for 17:00.
The main program of the race will be held on Saturday 5/10 and Sunday 6/10 with the male and female shooters competing in the 200 discus, 100 on Saturday and another 100 on Sunday.
Late Sunday afternoon, after the race is over, the closing ceremony and awarding of prizes to the winners will take place. A reception will follow, for all attendees.
