The first case of a positive drug test has been recorded in Free Famagusta with a 34-year-old giving a sample from his home.
According to information, the 34-year-old was noticed by members of YKAN while driving on Protaras Avenue in Cape Greco and it was found that he was pending a court warrant for drug cases.
Afterwards, the members of YKAN were waiting for him outside their home and when he arrived there, they judged that he was under the influence of drugs.
Then members of the traffic were called, who performed a preliminary drug test with the indication to be positive.
At the same time, members of YKAN found in his house a small amount of white powder believed to be amphetamine, 4,5 white pills and a precision scale with traces of dry hemp. Also, 25 full 6,35 mm rounds were found.
The 34-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime, interrogated and taken into custody.
Police investigations are ongoing.
