The Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis, together with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasilios, proceeded to the lighting of the traditional candlestick in the square of Agios Georgios on the evening of Holy Saturday.
For the lighting of the lamprey, as every year, all the appropriate fire protection and safety measures were observed and it was organized by the Municipality of Paralimni.
The arrival of the Holy Light at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios was preceded by a group of volunteer motorcyclists.
