The Municipality of Paralimni revived this year the Festival of Agios Georgios, which since 2018 has been included in the list of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage in the category "Religious Festivals".

On the evening of Friday, November 3, on the day of the feast of the city's patron and protector, the Municipality of Paralimni organized in the square of the Churches of Agios Georgios and the Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Famagusta in Paralimni the music and dance Cultural event "Saint George of Sporo".

The "Anemoessa" Choir of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni and talented musicians from the province participated, while the event was supported by dance by the "Para ti Limni" Cultural Workshop.
Greetings were addressed by the Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis, and the Protosygello of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Famagusta, Archimandrite Augustinos Kkaras.
In the area, there was a market with traditional dishes from the Christian Association of Agios Georgios.
The musicians participated: Kyriakos Hatziandreou (voice), Irini Pelagia (voice), Panagiotis Koumasis (voice), Andreas Siantanis (lute, voice), Nikolas Papadopoulos (violin), Andreas Kallis (citizen lute), Andreas Ioannou (canon), Konstantinos Kakousias (electric bass), Panagiotis Stylianidis (percussion).
