A fire broke out yesterday afternoon in a warehouse with agricultural machinery in the area of Kappari in Paralimni.
The fire broke out at 6 in the afternoon, and a thick cloud of smoke covered the area. The Fire Service was immediately notified and responded immediately with 2 vehicles that were at the scene and attempted to extinguish the fire before it became larger.
The fire, according to the first information, was caused by a short circuit in a tractor that was inside the warehouse and quickly the flames covered the whole building.
The warehouse was completely destroyed. Inside were two tractors that were completely destroyed, watering hoses and general agricultural equipment.
Extinguishing the fire was considered particularly important as the area is inhabited but also because the contents of the warehouse were highly flammable.
