The construction of a multi-storey parking lot in the center of Paralimni begins.
In statements to journalist Vasos Vasos, Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos stated that the construction works will begin immediately (estimated in February) and will last 18 months, according to the contract that will be signed.
According to Mr. Nicolettos, the cost of the project will amount to six million, 762 thousand euros. The new parking lot is planned to be built next to the Paralimni Municipal Hall and will have a capacity of 296 spaces. Upon its completion, it is expected to greatly reduce the acute problem observed in the center of Paralimni with the lack of parking spaces, while it is estimated that this project will also help increase traffic to the city's shopping center.
At the same time, the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia announced a tender for the purchase of a thousand new beach loungers that will be placed on the beaches of Protaras in view of the upcoming summer season.
The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia added that the purchase of new beds is part of the municipality's efforts to continuously upgrade the beaches of the tourist resort.
