Around 01:00 in the morning, members of the Famagusta Police Department stopped a vehicle on Protaras Avenue, which was being driven by a 25-year-old man, with a 24-year-old passenger.
In a search carried out in the vehicle in which the persons in question were travelling, 285 nitrous oxide (laughing gas) ampoules, 14 used nitrous oxide ampoules, two nitrous oxide discharge devices and 98 black balloons were found.
The two above-mentioned individuals were arrested for flagrant offenses, while all the items found were received as evidence and will be sent for scientific examinations.
It should be noted that the 25-year-old driver of the vehicle underwent a preliminary drug test with a positive result.
Both were subsequently released to appear in court at a later date.
