A lecture on the topic "From Talos to artificial intelligence" with the speaker, mathematician and author Mr. Tefkros Michaelides, was organized in the Events Hall of the Paralimni - Deryneia Municipal Hall by the Famagusta Mathematical Association on the occasion of International Mathematics Day.
During the event, the Mayor, Mr. George Nikolettos, delivered a speech, congratulating the Famagusta Mathematics Association for the initiative of the lecture and the parallel events that contribute to the intellectual and educational development of society. He made special mention of the distinguished mathematician and author Tefkros Michaelides, emphasizing his contribution to the promotion of Mathematics both as a science and as a cultural asset.
He also did not fail to praise the work of teachers who, as he said, “cultivate a love of learning and shape citizens with critical thinking.” Finally, he assured that the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia will always support initiatives that promote knowledge and upgrade the educational level of society.
