A well-known and successful Irish writer, Charlie Tainan, returns to his hometown for the funeral of his stepfather. Clarifying things at home, he recalls the paternal figure, the gardener Da, and manages in the here and now to have a conversation with him which he failed to have while he was alive. A return to the memories of childhood and adolescence and to the often thorny father-son relationship, where two worlds intersect, the memory and the present, with the comic element alternating with the dramatic, self-sarcasm with merriment, to highlight the , how simple and human.
The tender look of the author is conveyed on the theatrical stage by the director Maria Mannaridou-Karsera, having at her side the award-winning actor Costas Vihas, in the role of Da, and a renewed group of performers.
