The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, attended the traditional cutting of the Vasilopita of the Kapparis Swimming Association on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
The cutting of the Vasilopitta took place on Kapparis beach, where members of the Association were present, as well as, among others, the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni and members of the Municipal Council, while a blessing was performed by the Protosyngellos of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Famagusta, Archimandrite Mr. Augustinos Kkaras.
Mr. Nikolettos wished a happy new year and emphasized that the Municipality supports winter swimmers and will provide the services required to serve them on the beaches of the Municipality that they use.
