Bright and at the same time dazzling, the new Queen of the Famagusta Carnival "The Aphrodite of Cape Greco" was embodied on her chariot last night on Swan Thursday, when she entered the Square of the Municipality of Paralimni for her coronation. Cyprus 2017 Maria Armenaki representing the Municipality of Ayia Napa, which as it is known is leading this year the Famagusta Carnival events.
The new Queen was led to the coronation by the Municipal Councilors Antonis Christou and Konstantinos Zannetou, where she was solemnly welcomed by Mayor Sotiras, George Ttakkas, Municipal Councilors and other local officials of the Municipalities of Paralimni and Agia Napros, Theodoros Pyrillis for health reasons did not attend the event.
The coronation of the new Queen was made last year by the Queen of Famagusta Carnival "Queen of Tourism" Florina Homer, with which ceremony marked the beginning of the ten-day Carnival Events of the Famagusta Carnival 2018.
With the impressive chariot of "Aphrodite of Cape Greco, the Municipality of Ayia Napa, wants to pass the message that Cape Greco is a great attraction of Ayia Napa and the Province of Famagusta with many natural beauties, since in the area were found ruins of ancient as well as a path with a total distance of 2km that demonstrates the passage of the Goddess of Beauty Aphrodite.
The Carnival Events in the Municipality of Paralimni will continue on Saturday night with the night parade on the streets of Paralimni, while they will culminate at noon on Sunday with the established large parade.
