The Resurrection Sequence was performed with brilliance and magnificence in Paralimni and in the Holy Diocese of Constantia - Famagusta.
Prominent of the glorious festival at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios, the Most Venerable Metropolitan of Constantia Mr. Vassilios, who transmitted the Holy Light and after the Resurrection ceremony in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church, in the presence of Mayor P. Paralimos Authorities of the area and the nicknamed crew, who had flooded the courtyard of Agios Georgios holding lighted candles with the Unspeakable Light.
Panierotatos read the Holy Gospel and under the sounds of joyful bells he announced to everyone "Christ is Risen", with the established order, wishing the Resurrection joy to flood the hearts of all people with love and hope.
Then he performed the solemn Divine Liturgy of the Resurrection.
It was preceded by the lighting of the lamp in the central square by the Mayor of Paralimni and the Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta, while the staff of the Municipality of Paralimni complied with all security measures.

Rich program of events on Easter Sunday and Monday
On Easter Sunday at 11:00 in the morning the Vespers of Love will be celebrated. The Gospel of the Resurrection will be read in various languages. Red eggs will be offered.
Then, at 8 pm, there will be a concert with him Dimitris Mesimeri. With him the musicians: Xenios Papasofroniou (bass), George Hatzipapas (clarinet and bouzouki), Christodoulos Christodoulou (violin), Petros Papakonstantinou (electric guitar) and George Zenios (drums).
The Easter Monday at 4 pm, on the street outside the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios, traditional Easter games will be set up for young and old.
Then, at 7:15 pm, the Cultural Workshop "Besides the Lake" of the Municipality of Paralimni will hold a traditional parade in the main streets of Paralimni.
And finally, at 8 pm, the big music and dance performance "Dancing in the Streets of Tradition" will take place with the brass band Bronze Band in Mitropoleos square.
