Celebrations for National Anniversary of April 1, 1955
On Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. A candlelight vigil will take place in which the 21st Naval Scout System, the 291st Air Scout System, the Catechism of Agios Georgios, the Catechism of Agios Dimitrios and the Catechism of Agia Varvara will take place.
On Friday, April 1, 2022 at 6:30 a.m. will be held Eothic Parade in which will participate the 21st System of Marine Scouts, the 291st System of Air Scouts, the Catechism of Agios Georgios, the Catechism of Agios Dimitrios and the Catechism of Agia Barbara.
At 7:30 a.m. The raising of the flag will take place at the City Hall of Paralimni with the participation of a procession of the 7th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the Symphony Band "Harmony" of the Municipality of Paralimni.
At 9:30 a.m. The Solemn Divine Doxology will be performed at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios Paralimni, officiated by the Most Venerable Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta Mr. Vassilios. The Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Natasa Pileidou, will be present on behalf of the Government. The solemnity of the day will be delivered by the Philologist of Paralimni High School, Mrs. Christina Kourouma.
Then wreaths will be laid at the EOKA Monument 1955-59.
* It is noted that all the measures provided for in the protocols and guidelines of the Ministry of Health will be strictly observed and therefore, both the public and the participants in the parade must have a valid Health Certificate (SafePass) as provided in the current Decree .
