PARALIMNI: The cave that is said to have been inhabited by Cyclops (PICTURES)

A historical place, not so well known to most people.

The Cyclops Cave is located within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Paralimni, about 700 meters east of the beach of Konnos.

Before the tourist development of Protaras, the area there was quite inaccessible, known only to the inhabitants of the surrounding area.

According to more recent reports (circa 1920), the cave was used by the locals to hide from the British Colonialists a Cypriot wanted man from Xylophagos, whom they later helped to leave Cyprus.
