The provincial parade of Famagusta took place on the 1st of April, in which the banners of the occupied and free Municipalities and Communities of the province of Famagusta participated, public and private schools, unions, Catechism Meetings, scouts and the procession of the Army consisting of K Brigade PZ as well as reserve Paratroopers who paraded with slogans for Famagusta.
It was preceded by a Solemn Doxology at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios, officiated by the Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta, Vassilios.
The solemnity of the day was announced by the Commander of the 7th M / K Brigade PZ, Brigadier General Loukas Hatzimichael. The Government was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Christodoulidis.
