Members of the Paralimni Police Station arrested a 53-year-old woman last night for the investigated offenses of drunkenness, public insult, assaulting a police officer causing actual bodily harm, disturbance and disturbing the peace.

In particular, information was received at the Paralimni Police Station that a 53-year-old woman who was intoxicated was behaving in a way that caused concern. When the police went to the scene, they found that the 53-year-old woman was drunk and shouting loudly. When the members tried to calm her down and explain to her the reason for their presence at the place, the 53-year-old assaulted a female police officer by slapping her and then insulted her as a result of which she was arrested for the open offenses of assault and public insult against a police officer, disturbing and disturbing her of peace.

Subsequently, the 53-year-old was taken to the Paralimni Police Station where she continued to behave in the same way, as a result of which she was re-arrested for the spontaneous offenses of drunkenness, disturbance and disturbing the peace.

Then and during the morning hours on 02/10/2024, the 53-year-old, after being accused in writing, was released to be summoned later before the Court.

The member of the Police visited the T.A.E.P. of Famagusta General Hospital and after being examined by the doctor on duty it was found that he has redness on his right ear and abrasions on his right hand.
