A unique experience was given today, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Xenion Amphitheater in Paralimni by storyteller Marina Katsari and musician Vaggelis Gettos to those who attended the musical-narrative performance of Medieval Fairy Tales of Cyprus entitled "Where are the dragons in Cyprus, nothing else" as part of the events of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia for the Traditional Culture Festival "Voices and Memories" which began on April 9 and ends on April 30.
Storyteller Marina Katsari and musician Vangelis Gettos presented enchanting fairy tales with ghosts, queens and iron-clad knights of medieval Cyprus and sang of their sufferings and exploits.
The legends and fairy tales were rendered in their natural language, the Cypriot dialect, which reached its peak in the late medieval years through musical choices in the footsteps of the medieval harmonies that creatively grafted Cypriot traditional music.
The event was part of the Traditional Culture Festival of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia "Voices and Memories" (April 9-30, 2025). Admission to all events is free.
