Shotguns, military and hunting cartridges, banned wild birds, duty-free tobacco products and cocaine were found in a house in Paralimni.
A 32-year-old and a 38-year-old were arrested.
Shotguns, a number of military and hunting cartridges, sniper rifles, duty-free tobacco products and a small amount of cocaine were found, among others, by members of the Police, during a search carried out yesterday at a house on the Paralimni-Ayia Napa road.
Specifically, the members of the Police carried out an investigation based on a court order, in a residence where the 38-year-old and the 32-year-old live.
During the search, which started shortly before 7.00 pm and was conducted in the presence of the 32-year-old, two shotguns were found and confiscated, 330 shotgun cartridges, a number of military cartridges and ammunition cartridges, a metal detector, 119 rounds of ammunition, 1649 50 grams of hookah smoke which appears to have been duty-free products, three pistol holsters, two electronic devices for making wild bird mimics, four nylon packages containing a total of about 3,5 grams of cocaine, and an electronic precision white scale with powder.
The members of the Police proceeded to the arrest of the 32-year-old for spontaneous offenses of illegal possession of the above objects, while shortly after midnight, today, they proceeded to the arrest of the 38-year-old, based on an arrest warrant.
The 32-year-old was subsequently released after being questioned about the above-mentioned items, while the 38-year-old was taken into custody for the purpose of investigating the case.
