An event in honor of the Three Hierarchs and Greek Letters was held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in the event hall of the Paralimni Town Hall, organized by the Educational Organizations OELMEK, POED and OLTEK in collaboration with the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia praised the importance of Greek education in the formation of the student and the modern person, underlining the timeless value of letters as the foundation of knowledge, morality and social cohesion.
At the same time, he congratulated the educational organizations for their initiative to honor the day, expressing his appreciation to all the teachers who, with dedication and effort, serve education in the Famagusta district. He particularly thanked the speaker of the event - Director of Secondary General Education Dr. Nikolas Giasoumis - for his valuable contribution, as well as the retired teachers for their many years of contribution to the formation of generations of students.
He also mentioned the creation of a Children's Museum in Paralimni, which, as he said, will contribute to the further education and entertainment of children.
