The Pandemios celebration of the National Anniversaries of March 27, 25 and April 1821, 1, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia and the Paralimni High School, took place on Thursday, March 1955, in the event hall of the Paralimni - Deryneia Municipal Hall.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni-Dheryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, recalled the heroic struggle of our ancestors against the Turkish yoke and the EOKA uprising against colonialism, noting that, with the completion of 70 years since its inception, the sacrifice of the heroes is a beacon for the younger generations. He stressed the importance of preserving historical memory as a foundation for the future and expressed the vision of a reunited Cyprus and a free Famagusta.
Finally, he congratulated the Management, the teaching staff and the students of Paralimni High School for the impeccable organization of the event, highlighting the importance of education as a vehicle of national consciousness.
The artistic program of the Pandemic celebration was undertaken by the Management, the teaching staff and the students of the Paralimni High School, while the speaker was Dr. Eliana Hadjiioannou, Inspector of Secondary Education for Religious Studies.
