A new serious road collision occurred a while ago at the traffic lights at the junction of 1st of April, Sotiros and Maria Synkletiki streets in Paralimni.
According to the first information, a vehicle that was moving on April 1st Avenue in the direction of Deryneia from the Protaras roundabout, ran a red light and collided with a vehicle that was moving normally from Sotiros Street towards the center of Paralimni.
As a result of the violent collision, one of the vehicles was swept away and then collided with metal railings where it came to rest.
One of the drivers was transported by ambulance to the hospital as a precaution, with his health condition at first sight not considered serious.
