On the evening of Friday, November 4, 2022, the event of the opening of the Photo Exhibition on the life of Anne Frank under the title: "Let me be myself" took place at the Paralimni Town Hall.

The opening was performed by the Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ms. Elke Merks-Schaapveld, while the US Ambassador, Ms. Judith G. Garber, the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Andreas Ignatiou, the Head of the Embassy of Austria, the Deputy Commander of the 7th Motorized Infantry Brigade and representatives of the Famagusta Police Department and TEVEA.

During their greeting, both the Mayor of Paralimni and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands pointed out the importance of the exhibition on the life of Anne Frank, which sends strong messages from both the past and the present, to combat of national discrimination and the democratic values ​​of tolerance, acceptance and coexistence.

As part of the opening event, Xenion Private School student Dafni Koutsofta read an excerpt from Anne Frank's Diary in Greek, English and Dutch.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Cyprus, the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and the Municipality of Paralimni. It is hosted at the Paralimni Town Hall and will remain open until November 15, while the public can visit it Monday to Friday from 8 am to 2 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm . Entry to the exhibition is free and informative material is provided. The exhibition is also open to visits from schools.
