With deep emotion and respect, the laying of wreaths in memory of the victims of the "Helios" plane tragedy took place at the Paralimni Cemetery.
A memorial service was held at the Church of Saint George in Paralimni, in the presence of the Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasiliou.
A memorial service followed at the Church of Saint Demetrius, in the presence of the Metropolitan of Mesaoria, Mr. Gregory, the President of the House of Representatives and the Deputy Minister of Immigration and International Protection.
Afterwards, wreaths were laid at the Paralimni Cemetery, in memory of the victims.
21 years later, the memory remains alive.
We honor the 12 Paralimni people and all 121 of our fellow human beings who left so unjustly.
