Lake Paralimni, which is flooded with garbage, looks more like a garbage dump than a lake.
Armchairs, tires, discarded saints, toys, and even car numbers can be found in the lake, which they seem to be unconsciously exploiting, polluting the environment.
In pictures posted by a user on social media, the garbage appears to have covered a large area of the lake, which is part of the Natura 2000 program, for the protection of the Cypriot water snake that lives in that area.
