Two young men, a British man and a Ukrainian, were injured last night in a car accident in Paralimni.
According to the Police, around 19.50 pm last night, a 26-year-old British man with Cypriot citizenship, resident of Deryneia, was driving his car on Vrysoudion Street in Paralimni with a 31-year-old woman from Ukraine.
At some point on the road where there is a right turn, the 26-year-old lost control of his car and crashed into sidewalk lines and then after hitting a house wall, he crashed into a stake of the Electricity Authority which he cut off.
The two occupants of the car were injured and transported by ambulance to the TAEP of the General Hospital of Famagusta.
The 26-year-old driver underwent surgery due to internal bleeding while the girl suffered various fractures and was kept for treatment.
The car of the 26-year-old suffered extensive damage from the collision, while an EAC crew went to the scene and replaced the stake.
A blood sample was taken from the young man to test for alcohol. The case is being investigated by the Paralimni Police Station.
