On Thursday, November 28, 2024, the replacement of energy-consuming street lighting of Paralimni with "smart lighting" of LED technology by the Cyprus Electricity Authority began.
This is a particularly important project which will save more than 65% of electricity, improve and significantly upgrade the Street Lighting services in the Municipal District of Paralimni.
The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia expressed his satisfaction with the start of the project, stressing that with the replacement of the street lighting there will be significant savings in the finances of the Municipality. At the same time, he thanked the EAC for signing the agreement, through which, as he mentioned, proves the close cooperation and willingness of the EAC to contribute to a more ecologically oriented and sustainable Municipality.
