Book presentation by Yannis Kareklas: "Cyprus issue: The path to the precipice"

The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia invites you to the presentation of Yannis Kareklas' book entitled "Cyprus: Journey to the Cliff (1830–1974)", which will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., in the Events Hall of the Paralimni - Deryneia Municipal Hall.

The book is a thorough historical study that examines the path of the Cyprus issue from the 19th century to the events of 1974, approaching critical turning points in modern Cypriot history with documentation and sobriety and contributing to the public debate on our national issue.

Greetings will be delivered by the Mayor of Paralimni-Dheryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, the President of the Famagusta Regional Administration, Mr. Yiannis Karousos, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasileios, and the Minister of Interior, Mr. Konstantinos Ioannou. A speech will follow by the author, Yannis Kareklas.

The event will be coordinated by Mr. Marinos Pavlikkas, Head of the Cultural Service of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia. The duration of the event will be approximately 60 minutes and will be followed by a reception.
