How Famagusta voted in the 2013 Presidential Elections

There are only 24 hours left until next Sunday's electoral contest for the first round of the Presidential Elections that will elect the new President of the Republic of Cyprus.

However, according to announcement of the District Administration of Famagusta everything is ready for the election process by the 31.485 voters of the free province of Famagusta.

How Famagusta voted in 2013

In the first round of the 2013 Presidential elections, out of the 29.974 registered voters, 25.269 (84.03%) voted, with the abstention amounting to 15.7% (4.705 voters), 526 invalid (2.08%) and 247 blank (0.98%).

In the first electoral process of 2013, Nikos Anastasiadis emerged first with 55.66% (13.634 votes), Stavros Malas second with 26.35% (6.454 votes) and George Lillikas third with 14.45% (3.539 votes).

How Municipalities and Communities voted

7 out of ten Paralimni voters put a cross on Nikos Anastasiadis in 2013, with him receiving a percentage of 70.27% and Paralimni being first in crosses of preference towards Nikos Anastasiadis. George Lillikas was second with 13.77% and Stavros Malas third with 12.73%.

Second in crosses of preference towards the face of Nikos Anastasiadis is Sotira with 58.67% against 18.53% for Giorgos Lillikas and Stavros Mala who collected only 9.49%.

First in preference crosses was Nikos Anastasiadis in Ayia Napa (44.75%), Avgorou (54.05%), Acheritou (45.32%), Achna (58.9%) and Liopetri (62.18%).

The opposite was the picture that was presented in Deryneia and Frenaros, since Stavros Malas came out first in crosses, who collected 50.96% and 47.37% respectively.
